What does the free consultation cover?
The initial consultation by phone or LINE is free, covering listening to details about your work/brand and giving preliminary advice on how it should be protected. If you want an in-depth written report, our fee starts from THB 12,000; the final price depends on the complexity of the matter and actual scope of work.
What information should I prepare before the consultation?
Prepare a rough description of your work, invention, or brand — you don't need to disclose confidential details or trade secrets before a confidentiality agreement is in place.
Am I obligated to use further services after the consultation?
No. The initial consultation carries no obligation to use further services. You're free to use the advice to inform your own decision.
How long does the written report take?
The time to prepare the report depends on the complexity of the matter and the volume of documents to review. Our team will confirm a clear delivery date after the first in-depth consultation, before actually starting work.
What if I need work beyond the initial report — how is that charged?
Additional work outside the agreed scope, such as more than 1 follow-up round of questions, may be charged at THB 3,000 per hour, and always requires your consent before we start. Nothing is billed without advance notice.
How is this different from a Formal Legal Opinion?
An in-depth consultation with a report provides information and preliminary advice to support your decision, not a formal legal opinion. If you need a legal opinion for use in court or in a contract, you'll need to request a separate quote for that specific service.
If it turns out I need a further patent/trademark search, is that charged separately?
Yes. Patent or trademark search services, including Freedom-to-Operate analysis, are not included in this consultation package — they're a separate service requiring its own quote. Our team will clearly flag it if we find you need these services during the consultation.
Is information I share during the consultation kept confidential?
